   Promoting Independent Living

One Heart, One Voice, One Talent At A Time

15% of our annual giving budget is dedicated to our programs with partners 29 Acres, an innovative housing community in North Dallas for adults with ASD and My Possibilities, a Plano-based non-profit that serves as a pioneering leader in vocational education and job placement for adults with IDD. MM will fund retreats and learning camps to these campuses for young adults/adults with ASD and IDD. This initiative will provide unique insights into independent living as these individuals continue to transition into adulthood. We hope to spark hope and create a roadmap to drive to thrive independently!

Once construction is complete, our partnership program with 29 Acres will launch in the fall of 20/20. MM will fund retreats to their community and learning campus for young adults living with ASD and Neurodiversity. This unique experience will offer a glimpse into their vast programs including the Transition Academy Courses.  Taught by a local college campus and support staff, students are encouraged to participate in a 32 course higher learning program. Courses include: Case Management, Transition Services, Career Development, Executive Functioning Skills, Functioning Skills and Health And Wellness. 29 Acres offers a wide range of programs to nurture independent living life skills and a complete solution for long-term residential housing. As the program matures, MM will fund the tuition and living expenses for selected residents.  We are accepting applications and we are excited to learn how we can help your family member.

Make a Donation

The Music Movement is only as strong as those who support it. Every donation directly funds our programs that serve youth and adults living with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and IDD (Intellectual Development Disorders).

This program teaches so much more than cognitive function, social interaction, behavioral skills and music skills although we certainly benefit from all of those things.  It has also taught them determination, the reward of learning and patience with themselves.

We are thrilled to announce the official kickoff with partner, My Possibilities is scheduled for September, 2019. Fourteen individuals will be sponsored by MM scholarships to attend a special weekend camp packed full of recreational activities tailored for their unique needs. Our partnership and programs will evolve into funding for higher learning opportunities at the My Possibilities campus in Plano, TX.  The curriculums offered are vast and position individuals to thrive in their respective communities.  Courses focus on Life Skills, Vocational Training, Arts & Visual Performance, Leadership, Health & Wellness & Therapies.  Adults with developmental challenges (IDD) may submit an application through MM for consideration.
