Promoting Independent Living

15% of our annual giving budget is dedicated to growing our programs with like-minded non-profit partners sharing in our passion that this community should not only be overlooked, but should be celebrated for the special gifts only they can offer this world! MM funds retreats and camps for youth with IDD to explore various learning campuses and outdoor adventures. These experiences provide unique insights, inspiration and help to promote independent living goals as these individuals continue to transition into adulthood. We hope to spark hope and to shine a light on their roadmap to thrive independently!

We are honored to partner with My Possibilities, a Texas based non-profit serving as a pioneering leader in vocational education and job placement for adults with IDD.  Our first of many grants funded dozens of HIPsters (Hugely Important People) to attend a special weekend retreat packed full of recreational activities tailored for their unique needs. We are thrilled to be able to provide the financial support for the campers!

The curriculums offered are vast and position individuals to thrive in their respective communities.  Courses focus on Life Skills, Vocational Training, Arts & Visual Performance, Leadership, Health & Wellness & Therapies.  Adults with developmental challenges (IDD) may submit an application through MM for consideration.

Make a Donation

The Music Movement is only as strong as those who support it. Every donation directly funds our programs that serve youth and adults living with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and IDD (Intellectual Development Disorders).

We could not provide the level of care that we do without the consistent, generous support from Music Movement. The power of music therapy within a pediatric medical setting is life changing for patients and their families.

Eric Mannen, CHOC

MM provided grants to My Possibility HIPSters (Hugely Important People) for a weekend camp retreat.
